One of our native plum trees. An excellent pollinator for named plum varieties, Canada Plum is a very hardy little fruit tree. It produces small plums that are on the sour side with a large pit. They are quite tasty raw if you like sour flavours, and are excellent processed and preserved. The abundant and reliable harvests this humble plant offers makes it a must have in our gardens. We have a few cultivar plums (which we will offer for sale in the coming seasons), yet Canada Plum is sure to be the lowest maintenance and heaviest bearer while serving as a vital pollinizer for our named varieties.
These Canada Plums are likely hybridized to some degree.
