Another potent medicinal plant, Witch Hazel is a unique native small tree we are excited to be working with. Highly renowned for a variety of medicinal uses, the leaves and stems can be used simply as a refreshing tea. Witch Hazel flowers in autumn, with her wispy yellow blossoms staying open well into the winter. Some accounts suggest Witch Hazel is a very important nectary plant as it is one of the later flowers available on the landscape before winter sets in. Traditionally, Witch Hazel was the tree of choice for dousing rods! It grows at a medium speed. Self sterile, will need another individual nearby to produce seeds.
